My husband and I went for a delicious dinner! Social media reviews suggested this restaurant and did not lie! Walkable. Parking is very limited downtown. Down the Queen street alley (*caution* narrow side walks, cobblestones). Outside courtyard tables and upstairs tables. Let them know when you make your reservation, (RESY by Google search, or app. NOT on open table to book, but a link and excellent description!) if the stairs are an issue(steep). We were seated at a table overlooking the courtyard tables. You immediately feel like you are in a southern home for dinner. This place was a home, turned into a restaurant. They truly used every room too! (there is a restrm upstairs)I started with the Queen salad, and had the BBQ shrimp & grits (my first time!) my husband had the fried fish over grits. We shared the very generous salad w/herbed,buttermilk dressing (yummy!). We were both very full from dinner, but did look at the separate dessert menu! We decided on the Limoncello mascarpone cake, to share! Great decision! Light, flavorful (do it, or take to go!!) Great cocktails, very delicious food, attentive staff! Staff goes up and down for all foods, drinks! Diego, you ROCKED! 5☆☆☆☆☆ experience. Expensive, but very worth it experience! A highlight of our trip to Charleston, S.C.!
Absolutely delicious, I was here for my anniversary on 01/17 our server was wonderful cracking jokes since we got there to the time we left, food was some of the best I’d ever had. I had the fish and grits the sauce was delicious but the grits could have carried the dish all on its own. My girl had the Filet Mignon and she eats enough steak to put a ranch out of business, and she said it was the best she’d ever had, along with that the mashed potatoes were to die for. For starts we had it was either pork or beef cheek(memory’s not the best) it was delicious would recommend eleven out of tens times. We loved the atmosphere, food, workers, everything. They even left us a little card.
Cute location, cute courtyard with seating. Had the mule mocktail, tasty! For food we had the she crab soup, not the best in town, heavy on the flour but tasty all the same. The fried green tomatoes were wonderful. The service was also great, Gretchen was knowledgeable and with specific allergies she offered great alternatives. Oh and the in house hot sauce was tasty had a great Smokey flavor.
82 Queen was a great experience and felt like stepping into another world. The restaurant is set inside a beautiful historic home that has been transformed into a dining space, and every room has its own personality and theme. It made walking through the space part of the experience itself. The food was excellent too. The chicken wrap and chicken Caesar salad were both fresh and flavorful, and everything hit the spot. We chose to sit inside and were glad we did because the atmosphere added so much to the meal. Great food, unique character, and a memorable Charleston experience!
82 Queen is a wonderful place to enjoy brunch. We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller, Crab Cake appetizer, Lowcountry Breakfast Bowl, and Crab Cake Benedict. Everything was delicious! Since we were celebrating a birthday, they gave everyone at our table a complimentary glass of champagne. What a pleasant surprise! Thank you so much 82 Queen. We cannot wait to return!
The setting was amazing. My husband and I chose to dine outdoors where the scenic garden kept us captured. The cocktails were well prepared and the wine was nice and crisp. My husband had the duck and I had the gumbo, both were well proportioned and seasoned. Overall I give this place a 10/10 we will definitely be back
Visited for the 1st time, on vacation. What an incredible place. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere stunning. And the food was out of this world. I've raved about it to everyone I've met since. I'd book another vacation to Charleston just to go back. FYI we ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes, and She Crab Soup to start. Fried chicken tenders with bacon ranch wraps, home made potato chips and Jambalaya. It was to die for.
Beautiful surroundings first class service and Charleston’s finest food. Fresh mint ice tea, crab cake appetizer, blackened Grouper and pralines and cream for dessert. The perfect culinary blend.
We dined at 82 Queen for our anniversary this evening and it was the culinary highlight of our long weekend! The staff were very friendly and even allowed us to move up our reservation 45 mins early. Walking down a narrow and charming ally, we were escorted to the second floor where we were seated in pure Southern elegance. We started with the fried green tomatoes and they were like none I have ever had! Complemented with pimento cheese (very subtle) over stone-ground grits, with tomato–bacon jam on the side, they didn't last long. My wife had the jambalaya and I had the fish and grits which were both phenomenal. Highly recommend!
Definitely recommend it. We had the crab cake, cup of crab soup and the fried tomatoe. I love crab, the soup is so very good. None of the food was heavy. I really liked the bed of corn in the Crab cake. It was the yummy non sweet corn, just like I remember when I was a child. Service: we were waiting for someone to direct us to sit until we ask the bartender. Recommendation: don’t wait, he will say hi but won’t tell you what or where to sit. You have to ask and you have to get his attention when ready to order. He will not voluntarily approach you. Once that is done, he is very friendly. Note: from 2-5 there is only sitting at the bar. Atmosphere was very clean and nice, beautiful building and setting.
